The bin problem nobody solves properly

Every kitchen has the same negotiation going on: the bin needs to be within arm's reach of the chopping board, but the floor by the counter is the last place you want it. So it ends up half-blocking a doorway, getting kicked, collecting a sticky ring on the floor around it.

This 9L bin sidesteps the whole argument by hanging on the inside of a cabinet door.

Five seconds, no tools, no holes

The hook is moulded into the back of the body and simply drops over the top edge of a cupboard door — the sink cabinet, a pantry door, a laundry unit. No drilling. No screws. No adhesive strips that pull the paint off later. It's fully renter-friendly, and if you decide the spot doesn't work, you lift it off and hang it somewhere else in under five seconds.

Behind a cabinet door it also solves the second problem: the bin is out of sight and out of the walkway, but still one door-swing away from where you're actually cooking.

A lid that closes itself, quietly

Press it shut and the soft-close lid glides down under its own weight — no bang, no rattle, no waking anyone up during a late tidy-up. More importantly, it settles flush against the rim, which is what actually keeps kitchen smells contained. Vegetable peel, coffee grounds, fish trimmings: sealed in, not wafting out every time you walk past.

Built to be cleaned, not just emptied

The removable inner ring is the detail that decides whether a bin stays pleasant to use. It clamps the bag edge so the liner never slides down inside, keeps the bag rim hidden for a tidy look, and lifts straight out when the bin needs a proper wash. Rinse it, wipe the smooth body, drop it back in — the whole job takes a minute.

Both the body and the ring are moulded in food-grade PP with PET, with a matte finish that resists staining from sauce, oil and coffee. It won't go brittle in a warm kitchen or yellow the way cheap bin plastic does.

Sized for real cabinets

At 26 cm wide × 24 cm tall × 16 cm deep, the profile is deliberately slim. It clears most under-sink plumbing, doesn't foul the shelf behind the door, and still holds a genuine 9 litres — a full day of prep waste for a couple, or a comfortable two to three days in a bathroom or home office.

The whole unit weighs 620 g, so lifting it off the door to empty it is a one-handed job.

Two finishes, made to disappear

Available in soft off-white and matte black, both chosen to sit quietly against modern cabinetry rather than announce themselves. Closed, it reads as part of the kitchen — not as a bin.
